We purchased this about 2 years ago as an impulse bc our oven died a few weeks before Thanksgiving and this was the fastest way to get this. It was different and was kinda hard to cook with but we figured it was new and different and we needed to learn. After 2 years I'm not a fan and it feels like a big mistake. We have to put the temp up about 10 degrees higher than what we need bc it never seems to stay at the same temp. Also when you open the door, it drops 10 to 20 degrees almost instantly and takes forever to get back where it was. It also takes about 20 mins to even warm up. We are not really happy with this but will have to make do bc its too expensive to just replace.

What would have been really nice to have is a much more detailed instruction Manual to go with the Empava oven. So far I would give the oven high marks as far as functions go, they work as expected-oven really looks nice and was not hard to install. Now the instructions-since never have owned a convection oven, I have to rely on instructions on how to use. It would be nice to know for instance that when oven is used for lets say 30 minutes on 350 or so and then is cut off, the cooling fans come on after the oven is cut off and run for quite a while. It was a problem because I was thinking it was still in on mode because it takes a while to cool down..found out on the internet that is normal for convection ovens. On the conventional oven this one replaced, bake mode means the bottom element rotates with the top broil element, on the Empava this is also true in conventional bake mode but in convection bake mode the top broil unit does not come on..its a little weird to me because in the convection roast mode thats exactly how it works. So, if your expecting the same cooking results when using convection bake as you would with conventional bake, you won't. Now what 'true convection roast' mode is completely escapes me because I haven't been able to detect the top broiler unit come on, its like the fan operates but the heat is coming from the bake unit only-?? (Editing on the 'true convection roast' part..its now 2022 and after using many times the top unit does come on, the true convection roast -symbol with 3 pointed blocks at top, fan in middle and bar at bottom-means the entire unit around the sides and in middle come on as the flashing symbol indicates when pressed. The convection roast symbol has a bar at top and bottom with a fan in the middle meaning the top element heats around the sides, not in the middle.)I'm slowly working through operation by trial and error, I think the Empava is good value and good build but I would say a person is going to have to learn how to cook with it on their own and find info elsewhere as I have done on the internet and with the Cosmo oven instructions that I have at another location. Also if you are like me and haven't used convection before, stick with the conventional bake mode until you read up on how convection cooking is used..otherwise you'll end up with disappointing dry chicken too tough too eat. I say 'Better instructions Empava!'

Delivered early! But there were a couple dents in the top and side that caused the door to sit slightly askew, but didnt affect functionality. Chose not to deal with the hassle of returning it. As with other reviews I've read, it took 15 min to preheat. I opened door quickly to place dish in and the temp dropped by 25 degrees. It cooked very fast on convection bake though. There is also a 4 inch gap between the top of the oven and my cabinet that we plan to cover just for aesthetic appeal. It is a small oven but very modern looking with the stainless steel. So far I like it but will update more as I continue to use.

When we remodeled our kitchen I decided to go for a wall oven and chose this as the reviews were pretty good and I was trying to keep costs low. It was very easy to install! After one use the glass on the inside of the door shattered. They replaced the glass without any problems. My husband is handy and was able to replace it without any problems. I have had the oven for about 6 months now and I bake dinners a lot. I can’t stand the way the buttons work on this thing. I can not figure it out. Either I over cook it or under cook it. It won’t let me put it at the exact temperature I want. Then when I set the timer it turns the oven off at the end. It is very frustrating when making cookies and I have to reset the entire settings every time. Also I didn’t realize when ordering that this oven is smaller than normal so some of my cookie sheets don’t fit.Edit: after writing this review the seller got a hold of me and said she is sending me new thermostat or something so hopefully that will allow it to get to the exact right temp.
