Easy installation with no hardware installation into walls. Super sturdy and the adjustable cat door size is great to keep my little from trying to crawl through. Super easy to use to walk through too.

Love the self closing and auto lock. Seems very stable and was easy to put together. The cat door is very handy considering we have 2 cats and our 9 month old loes to chase them.

Love this gate. It's perfect for keeping my Shepherd out of a room but allows my smaller King Charles Cavalier to enter through the small door. Gate is very sturdy and looks nice. Easy to assemble and just pull up and press handle to open the gate.

The gate is easy to open and the opening is wide enough for my dad to step through. IT self closes. The gaps with each bar are more narrow so it keeps my cats from getting stuck through the bars when they try to escape. The height is good to keep the cats from jumping. Well made gate. It looks nice. I'm switching from Carlson to this brand. I feel I have a more durable and safer gate at home.

This gate is easy to install. It looks very nice and sturdy. The cat door slides up and locks out of the way. My only dislike is that you have to pull up on the gate to open it which is a bit awkward. I’m not using it for children. I’m using it for my dog. I don’t need a child proof gate.

This is a great baby gate, in our case a puppy gate. The extra wide extension pieces go together easily and in theory the four "screw tight" tension screws (the part that butts up to the wall) should make it all simple. Not so much. First, the whole thing is pretty heavy for one small woman to manage by herself and the extension pieces fall off easily which complicates installation. Plain wood screws and wall mount brackets for the 4 tension screws are provided but you would have to know EXACTLY where you were going to want those 4 tension screws to go or you'll be drilling more holes to get the gate level both vertically and horizontally. And you MUST get the 4 tension screw grabbers right or the gate latch won't work properly and the whole thing would be worthless. I did get this gate up, barely. The problem for me is on one side is a 45 degree turn in my kitchen cabinets and one side of the gate fits there but getting the tension screws really tight poses a problem since a wrench or vice grip won't work around the 45 angle. I'm not strong enough to tighten the tension screws by hand enough to make them absolutely solid and stable. If I were installing this on two parallel and straight walls it might be easier. And did I say it's really heavy and the extensions fall off easily? Yeah. Until this thing is pretty much completely installed and leveled there is the danger that one of the extensions will fall and then it's time to start over again. It would be much easier to have a second person handy to help and preferably one with strong hands to tighten those tension screws up against the wall very tightly. Once it's up, it's a godsend! Even the most determined puppy can't chew through although a big puppy might be able to knock it over until it is really stable and solid. The gate does prop open at a 45-degree angle when you want, and it closes easily when you are just stepping through and don't want that puppy (or baby) to follow. I think the white finish is attractive and blends well with my white kitchen cabinets. Until I can get a family friend or my adult son over here to tighten everything properly I'm being very careful because it "can" slip at one corner and come crashing down - on my feet and on the puppy, too. I still give this 4 stars and it would be 5 stars if it were just a little more user friendly in the installation. Oh, and the wide walk-through space makes it very easy even carrying an armload of laundry or groceries or a child. It does open with one hand. I'm pleased and would buy it again. If you do pick this gate, just have a friend there to help on one side with you on the other because a 55" span is too wide for one person to manage all at once. Good luck!

I love this gate. It keeps my cats from scaling it to get the dog’s food. It closes easily. One of the best gates I have ever had. When the time comes to replace my other gates. I will definitely buy more of them.

We got a puppy, and our cats need a place to relax when the puppy gets the "zoomies". I considered another brand that didn't have the cat door. The cats _could_ jump over it, but they won't always be as young and agile as they are now. I chose this one because the cat door is just a bit smaller than the others. The cats get through easily, but our Mini Schnauzer puppy can't. Perfect.A gate that opens and closes is a must. We had just a barrier at first, but everyone in the house tripped over it at least once in the first week. Not worth the danger!This gate is really solidly made, and feels quite sturdy across a 63" wide hallway. I added the Babelio Baby Gate Extension 28" high by 2.75'' wide, plus a set of 4 Baby Gate Extenders that go between the screws and the wall. The combination let me install it snugly, even with a 1/2" deep baseboard molding at the floor,
