They are not very sharp at all. You can buy $12 exact replica of these at PetSmart or Petco which I have been buying all of these years. The problem with those at PetSmart and Petco is they don't stay sharp very long. And sometimes they are not the kind that curve away from the dog's face. I'm looking for three things in small dog face grooming scizzors: 4-in (not 6",) blades curved away from the faces, and with rounded ends for safety. these are twice as much as I usually pay at one of the pet stores, but I thought since they were that much money they must be professional grade and I'm willing to pay for professional sharpness. NOT SO!! And yes you can find some on professional dog grooming sites but you're stuck buying an entire kit. I don't want an entire kit of scissors I just want the 4-in ones. That are curved and that are rounded and that are really nice and sharp and these are not. Considering by the time you're done paying shipping taxes and everything you've got a $35 investment and when you call the company and tell them that they're not very sharp they tell you there's a $20 restocking fee. So just don't bother buying these at all. Because it cost you more money to send them back. Go to PetSmart go to Petco or Walgreens try your chances there but do not buy these. Not sharp enough. Poor quality and hard to use because they're so stiff

Way overpriced for quality. I wanted to use it for trimming the feet and pads on our Engish Springer's. It could not cut the hair at all. Waste of money. Maybe these were a flute as we bought it because of high reviews. My old cheapo {under $10} scissors trimmed it better than these $25 scissors.

The shears are not comfortable to use due to their size and don't seem to cut as well as expected. I also ordered a 7 1/2 inch stainless steal ballpoint pet shear that work well and perform the function I purchased the 4-inch for.

I have used many curved pet grooming shears before, and these compare quite well. They cut very cleanly compared with more expensive brands, and they are safe for grooming near the dog's eyes, mouth, ears, and other sensitive areas.
