This is a really good product. Nice looking and can fit under a seat at the entryway. I have been looking for an automatic shoe polisher for some time, but most of the ones available in the US have a long pole attached and based on past experience have weak motors. This product automatically turns on when you insert your shoes (so do not need a handle to switch it on) and has a strong motor.Most similar machines are made for 220v/240v 50Hz (although some say 50Hz/60Hz). The box for this product had similar labeling, but apparently this seller modified the machine to run in the US. I am not completely sure if they replaced the motor or used a transformer. I did see some wiring at the back, inside of the machine some of which I think should perhaps be covered with plastic or similar. Anyway, the unit works very well.Another issue is that the shoe polisher needs liquid polish for the dispenser, which does not seem to be readily available in the US. Still, I found one brand, which seems very good, although a bit pricey with shipping, Heute Cream Polish for Shoe Shine Machines - Neutral 1lt (2.11 US Pints). Sometimes (and probably a better thing to do) I apply SAPHIR Derby Pommadier Surfine Cream Polish (50 ml Black 01) (or a similar polish) directly to the shoes and then use the automatic brush to polish them.The unit is a bit narrow (which is good in terms of not taking up too much floor space), but it means the cleaning brush and the polishing brushes are very close together. Also, the polish dispenser sticks out a bit and makes it a bit hard to clean the sides of one's shoes.The photo of the product has a handle, which actually I did not want, as it would make the unit taller and a bit more difficult to place under an entryway seat. When it arrived, the handle was separate and needed to be attached, which was great as I did not want to.Anyway, so far it works as I expected and very happy to have it and to have an easy way to polish shoes.
