Difficult to clean and then smokes badly after one use. I don’t know…doesn’t work better than just using a frying pan or any other sort of press

WORSE PRODUCT I EVER ORDERED AND I HAVE ORDERED SO SO SO MANY. STEAM COMES OUT THE TOP WHILE WARMING AND HAVE TO PULL PLUG TO COOL IT DOWN. CLEANING THE GRILL IS A TEDIOUS AND NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE JOB. I ACTUALLY HATE THIS PRODUCT. TODAY I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVB IT ONE LAST CHANCE. WANTED TO GRILL THIN CHICKEN PIECES TO PUT IN A SALAD. I COULD HAVE DRIVEN TO A STORE AND BOUGHT SALAD IN THE TIME IT TOOK. THIS WAS THE LAST TRY AND NOW IT GETS TRASHED.SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY. DON'T BUY IT UNLESS YOU HAVE PATIENCE AND TIME TIME TIME.I'VE NEVER WRITTEN SUCH A REVIEW BUT THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE THINKING OF BUYING. VERY DISAPPOOOINTED. JOAN

I originally bought this as a gift for myfather-in-law but it looked so cool that I kept it for my kitchen and just ordered a second one to give away. The machine worked great the first time I used it, however, it was actually difficult to clean.I’ve now used this item a total of 3 times and each time was with deteriorating results.Seriously, after a total of three uses the heating plates stick terribly and they rip apart my hamburger patties when I open the machine.Also the plates on the top and bottom get really charred each use and it’s a struggle to fully clean them. I’ve never used any metal or anything abrasive to cook in or clean this device so it is ridiculous to have such issues considering the lack of extended use.I personally wouldn’t recommend this product based on my experience but I love the concept of fresh grilled burgers without all the hassle

First off, this is NOT easy to clean. The top section is easy to wipe off but the bottom section is NOT! The round deeply recessed shape prevent just wiping it off and the debris once loosened gets caught around the edges. Save yourself a lot of grief and buy one with removable plates. There is no temperature control, on and hot is it. It does heat quickly, I will give it that. But no on/off control makes it awkward to be controlling it by plugging/unplugging at the outlet every single time. Last but not least, my premade frozen patties do not quite fit when first laid into the grill and I have to let cook for a minute for them to shrink and then recenter them. I really wish I had not wasted any money on this and had just spent a bit more to get a grill with the missing features: removable plates, on/off button, and temperature control.
