This might have worked better if I git the command strips to put it up with. However, my dogs (who aren't that bright) were still able to get past this barrier. Go with a more secure gate and don't waste your money.

After a little while the started going in & climbing and standing up on the back wall.We have gas, so they week constantly nocking over the ceramic logs and making a mess.We used stick on hooks it was perfect

I used this in the office at work. My 130 lb dog would lay his head on it and never broke it. Easy to install and perfect fit

Considering how cheap this was, I’d say it was worth purchasing. I bought this to put at the top of my staircase, to try and keep my cats from venturing off at night and getting into everything. It does the job. It’s extremely lightweight, and was relatively easy to install / set up. One thing I would be careful of when setting it up, is making sure you keep checking the hooks with the ‘gate’ to ensure you’re not making it too tight. I set the hooks a little too far apart, so it’s kind of a pain to get the loops on as it pulls the gate really tight. Not a big deal, and was my own fault for not checking while putting it up. Overall decent, and I’d buy again.

I have six (yes six) German shepherd's ranging between 80 and 95 lbs. they respect the boundary and it works as advertised. Here's a problem I think most of the negative comments come from. If your dog is not trained, this won't work because it can be torn by their nails. If your dog is not trained to respect boundaries, they can run right through this because even with it being screwed in or taped on, the eye hook is elastic and will pop off. This is a well made sturdy product and performs exactly as I expected it to but this is not for all dogs. It will not work for puppies (they are still learning boundaries) or untrained adult dogs of any size.Opening and closing is simple. You may want to position your hooks in different directions to keep them from slipping off when you open. For example, my bottom hooks are sideways facing opposite each other. One of my top hooks, the one I use to open and close is facing up whereas the opposite hook is sideways. This keeps them from coming off when I go in the kitchen. The product comes with extra sticky backs because you will probably need them. I did because I had to play around with the direction of the hooks. Once you pull the hook off, it doesn't stick right anymore. For the cost, this is peace of mind. It keeps the dogs from laying around in the kitchen. The value of this item is worth the small cost of it. They don't counter surf but the hair omg. I don't cook often but I have to clean everything in the kitchen before I cook. This saves a lot of work. It's super light weight and easy to use.

These work really well when they are up and closed, however they don't have a nice neat "open" way to store them while still attached on one side. You may need to create your own mechanism for wrapping it up when also open. It is very easy to remove completely and put back up though, so if you have a good place to store it nearby, you can always just take it all the way down when you want it open and then put it back up. I also tried rolling it up to the side, and used a curtain tie to keep it rolled up, but it wasn't very tight and still looked kind of messy. Also, depending on how small your pet is, you may need to tack down the bottom middle if it's not tight enough going across. One of my Poms is very crafty, and he was able to push under it, despite it being relatively taught. I put a nail in the middle right under the lip of the top stair, and I poke it through the bottom of the screen when it's up. Works great. Just make sure the nail is in far enough and covered enough that no one can scrape their foot on it as they're climbing the stairs. Make sure you measure the opening and order the right size as well. You want it to be tight going across, but not too far from the walls that your pets or kids can climb through the gaps on the sides.

I bought this for my bedroom door so that my Holland lop bunnies could free roam in my room with the door open. It works great but the command strips peeled my paint off when I had to take one of them off to readjust and you can’t put the pink screw covers on without a hammer. I bought the size that it said I would need for my door after I measured multiple times but it’s still didn’t fit. It looks great except for when it was folded in the box. The folds never came out and there is a small gap about 1 inch between the floor and the bottom of the gate that my Holland lop bunnies might be able to squeeze under. Other than that, it works great and as advertised
