The gate works very well. Solid design, easy to install, secure, and great value. Worked perfectly for our first kid. By the time our second child started crawling and we needed it again, we had moved. I had misplaced an extension in the move. I contacted customer service (email on a Sunday) and they helped me out immediately. Some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Their concern was for safety of our child and wanted to help as quickly as possible. This is a solid product built by a very caring company. You will not regret this purchase.

If you are wondering if you should buy this gate because you’ve had bad luck with gates in the past this is the gate that you’ll love!I bought it because when I watch my sister’s dog I have to keep him separated from my dog. It’s easy to put up and take down because of the option to mount it with pressure rather than permanently if you want. The gate part works flawlessly as it swings shut on its own and the adjustments are super simple to make sure it shuts and latches properly. Just follow the simple instructions and you’ll have it up within 20 minutes. It hinges both ways and also stays open if you swing it at a 90 degree angle. The design of this gate is amazing and I will definitely be buying another one this summer to replace the one on my porch that is a pain to use!

What I liked:1. Very easy to install as a pressure gate (5-10 minutes, including getting it out of the box)2. Fit easily in both a doorway and on the stairs with a round banister on one side2. Very sturdy and well constructed (NOT flimsy!)3. Swings both ways4. Shuts automatically unless pushed open more than 90 degrees5. My husband can open and close it without frustration or trippingWhat I didn't like: The price, BUT once I had it installed, I understood the value
