If you have curious pets or kids, with a gas range, you’ll want something like these Stove Knob Safety Covers. It keeps the little hands off of the knobs on your stove, which helps to keep from turning the gas on accidentally.Make sure the stove surface is very clean for good adhesion. The fit is a little bit tight for stoves with the knobs right next to each other.

I ordered these to replace a broken set - and I am really pleased! I love the black - it looks much cleaner and classier than our previous clear (dirty) covers. They fit well on our range knobs, although I recognize that the fit is range/oven specific. They open and close easily, and protect the controls from curious little hands.They came with no instructions, but - for the most part - are self-explanatory. They did come with adhesive strips to secure them to the range, but we find they serve their purpose without having to use the strips. I believe the back opens to snap around the knobs for installation; but, for ours, we just pulled the knobs off to install.I would highly recommend these (if they fit your stove!)

These are sturdy and durable. Our baby isn’t walking yet but wanted to try these out before the day comes when we all of a sudden have to baby-proof all the things. Our stove knobs are black and these blend in well. Easy to open and use for adults

These look really nice and are really easy to use. That is why I took off stars. My last stove knobs were harder to open by pushing two buttons on the sides. This is just one button on the top and it pops open. My daughter is 22 months and if she tried to open this I know she'll get it.

This is a true story:One day I went to work and I came home and there was a very strange odor as soon as I walked in the door. On top of that, my cats were FRAKED OUT. My oven was on, and had been on, for an undisclosed amount of time.My cat managed to walk across my oven knob, twist it down with his foot, and turn the gas on. How terrifying.I came home to a house full of gas. I couldn't believe it, what a terrifying moment. Luckily I stopped myself from turning on my lights, held my breath, ran into the house, opened a window, ran back. I repeated this over and over and over again until all my windows were open. Luckily the gas dissipated and everything was okay, but from then on, I have had babyproof covers on all of my oven knobs. The black ones I'd had for years finally snapped and I got these clear ones.They're very pretty!! And I like to see inside them. They are also very easy open easy close with the press of a button. Nice upgrade from the black ones.

How sometimes you get those baby proof items that are so complicated you also adult proof them. Thankfully, this is not that item. I will say cleaning right under the knob helps it to adheres better to the stove so there will take a little bit of cleaning. I do recommend this when you do not have a toddler running around because it does take a little bit of mental energy. Aesthetically I do like that it's clear. The five knobs was nice and worked perfectly with my stove. It was super easy to install by myself though. I think the only thing I would hope for is if you could have one extra of the stickers to place them onto the stove because the pressure was on since I only had enough for all five thankfully I was able to put them all on pretty easily.

These stove knob safety covers are notably large—almost to a comical degree—but I understand the reasoning behind their size. Their design accommodates a wide range of stove knobs, which is a thoughtful feature. However, the size does mean that they cover up the temperature selection and other visual markings on my stove. While this isn’t a deal-breaker, I would have preferred to still have easy access to those useful indicators.Installing the covers was straightforward for me, as most of my stove knobs are removable. I made sure to clean the surface thoroughly beforehand, as the sticky adhesive strips work much better when the surface is clean, and they last longer as a result. The covers open and close easily, and while the plastic feels a bit thin, it doesn’t seem fragile or likely to break overly easily.Despite the handful of drawbacks, the peace of mind that comes with knowing my gas stove can no longer be accidentally turned on makes this product well worth it.
