I bought to use with my dive gear since I have a hard time finding brass hooks. Seem to bee of good quality. Time will tell. I purchased the larger ones and they seem to work just fine for dive reels, etc.

These are heavy duty spring loaded clips for a variety of uses. The springs are a little tight on the new clips, but I imagine they will loosen up with repeated use. I use these on my horse gates to secure the chain and prevent the gate from coming open. They are out in the weather so the brass will not rust. I got these in stainless steel as well and both work well.

I use these to attach my scuba gear like cameras, flashlight, since they are easily operated even with thick neoprene gloves and usually can be disengaged without being in the field of view.Brass is resistant to saltwater, making these a very important addition to my dive gear collection.So, I am pretty happy with these snap hooks, which are holding up very well, are solid brass, and are very well polished without any grates etc.

These are heavy duty, weather resistant snaps that do a great job making sure our horses don't open their gates. We have some pretty smart cookies in the pasture that have learned to pick at the gate chain until it comes out of its slot.These snaps secure the chain above and below the slot ensuring no escape. These snaps open and close easily. They will last a long time. Many, many uses for these, but having these on our gates gives us a lot of peace of mind. Five stars.

These are solid brass so they aren't as tough as all steel snaps but they won't rust. The ones I got were a little rough opening on one side while the other side was smooth. Both snap hooks were the same so I assume that's a little flaw in the mold they use the cast it. The springs were strong so they won't open accidently but you do have to tug pretty hard with your thumb to open them.

These are great attachments to connect two things together. They are pretty heavy and true to size, the measurements are accurate to the best of my judgement. The spring is a little scratchy but I don't think it impacts any of the functionality, it opens easily enough but not so easily that it slips or opens itself when it should be closed. Overall a great accessory for literally whatever you need to clip together.
