They have greater strength and hardness than other common steel bolt snap hooks on the market. SHONAN bolt snaps are equipped with a durable spring. It allows for strong, quick attachment to a rope, cable, chain, or other lines.

These are GREAT hooks to add to your BCD for scuba diving! I use them to hook my shaker, and my compass for diving. Easy access. Very helpful!

These are high quality bolt snaps. I use these for rec dives in salt water. I attached one to my dsmb spool, and and another to my general purpose spool. The bolt snaps are large enough and provide enough clearance to securely snap through the holes in the side of the popular-style spools that I use. They also secure and detach well to my backplate. I rinse them in fresh water after use. There has been no sign of corrosion or weakening of the springs.
