Rubbermaid makes excellent products. However, I really wanted a low-profile laundry basket. I have a 2-drawer night table INSIDE a guest closet for use by my guests for storing folded clothes with hanging space above. The nightstand I found was purposely ordered on legs, with about 7-inches high space below the shelves for a dirty-clothes basket. I couldn't find a low-profile laundry basket, so finally settled on the Rubbermaid plastic "utility box" (it's called). It will work fine for the purpose, but I wish I'd been able to find something that had "holes" in the sides, more like a traditional laundry basket.

My application is a bit different than most, perhaps. My part of the country we need to save water. In the shower, the water drains out and is wasted unless it is captured as "gray water" and re-used. Originally, I had a metal tray to capture some of the water, a bit dangerous due to metal edges that could potentially injure. While showering, one foot has to be in the pan to collect the water, and slippage is a major concern on tile. Found this product on Amazon and turns out to be perfect for my usage. It holds more water, is lighter, strong and reduces the risk of physical injury from slippage. The plastic bin lays flat, supports my weight and is much more stable on the tile when slightly warmed, will flex slightly to conform to the floor and is more stable Also, holds much more water than the metal tray. After several months of many showers, never needed cleaning. Very good product.

I use these in my shower to soak my feet then when I get out my toe nails are soft enough to be trimmed or cut. I also have a shower chair in my shower. I purchased more to give them to my children for their showers.

Excellent. Rests on a shelf submerged 10 inches deep in a koi pond, holding two one gallon pots. Brought in for winter, standing water in tray keeps pond plants (in region 6b) alive until spring. Dont spray paint black with rustoeum enamel though, this durable plastic wont hold paint, it will flake.

I loved this tub so much that I bought 4 more of them. I use them for all sorts of things like organizing, cleaning, craft projects, moving, gardening, and the list goes on and on. They are super durable and VERY strong so they can handle lots of weight and water too! They clean up really well. The size fits everything. I used them to hold appliances in my kitchen under the wooden tables I had and in the closet to hold clothes. They are so handy. The size is perfect!

I am a short, heavy, older gal. I wear a size 9 Wide shoe. The last several months have seen me add both heel pain and achilles tendon pain to my knee pain. I like the relief I get from soaking my feet in both hot and cold water. But, because of my height and size, the typical dish basins were always uncomfortable. The back of my calves would rub up against the wall of the basin because it was too tall, and there was NO room to move my feet around or turn them on their sides while soaking. So I started looking at other containers, but I didn’t want to spend a fortune. This one was cheap the day I bought it ($10!) and it fit the bill with all the reviews stating its measurements.For reference RE my feet size and the water, I have attached a couple pics. I set my towels down, filled it up to just over half way with water, added bath salts, added my feetsies, and… voila! it worked great. What relief.When it came time to empty, the bus box was a bit big and heavy for me to carry back with all that water, but I just used a gallon-sized plastic iced tea server that I use to bathe my dogs with, and emptied a bit of it out that way first. Once I got to the point I was able to carry it, it was sturdy and did not buckle or warp with the water in it while I carried it.I got two of them at the lower price, but even without the sale price it’s only about $14. I use the second one for washing tennis shoes, dog harness’, delicates, etc, by setting it down in the bath tub. Roomier than a basin and the splashing ends up in the bath tub, so it empties & cleans up easily that way.This is a VERY convenient sized tub! Strong and well worth the purchase.

I ordered a pack of 12 and I only got one.The container has no lid, so it is not a box as described.Too expensive for what it is.I filed a complain in Amazon.
