The V7 Alpha is the easiest way to get started with the NiSi 100mm filter system, offering great value to get you started with filters.The NiSi V7 ALPHA is designed to use 100mm wide filters that are 2mm thick and can support 3 filters 100mm wide that are 2mm thick. Included is an 82mm adaptor ring to allow the holder to connect to any lens with an 82mm standard filter thread. The holder can be combined with our V7 adaptor rings to allow the use of sizes from 49mm to 77mm (Sold separately).The holder features our superior left to right pressed clip design, allowing filters to be very smoothly inserted and removed. The holder can be rotated 360 degrees to allow graduated neutral density filters to be rotated for perfect placement with a horizon and light source.The V7 ALPHA features:The same filter holder as the V7 featuring Left to right pressed clips rather than the traditional top and bottom design. It is very smooth to insert and remove filters.An 82mm adaptor ring that is compatible with existing V6/V7 adaptor rings for 49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 72mm, 77mm (V7 Adaptor rings sold separately).A most cost-effective entry to the NiSi 100mm Filter System.It is made from aviation-grade aluminum with single element processing by CNC machine and features a matte black frosted finish on the surface to minimize reflection.Please note this holder can only be used with a 100x100mm polariser.

Have had many filter sets over my years, but this is by far the best. Accurate colors, high-quality and easy to use. Plus this set comes with everything you need to get going! Worth the cost I'd say.

This item was highly recommended by a person using it to take sunset photos. (she was also using the graduated filter), and told me how to set up the shot. She said it was a game changer. I needed a game changer also. However, being a rookie - I didn't know my Nikon lens and my Sigma lens didn't have a thread to accept an adapter. I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work - till I went to a camera shop and they showed me my rookie mistake. Too bad - I was hoping for great personal results. I will still give 5 stars since the lady taking photos in the desert absolutely loved the filter set up.

I am a long time user of the Nisi v5. I upgraded to v7 because I wanted a more secure holder for my filters and I needed a new holder ring as my previous one got stuck with an adapter. I got a really got experience with v5, polarizer was always in place, never fell down, the grey cover was great too.Here is my experience with v7. Fixed the polarizer to the holder and the holder to my lens, added the cover, stored in my bag. Did some travel, took off the camera from my bag, the cover was already off. Took 2 pictures, the polarizer fell off and got scratches. Attached it again, checking that I screwed it in the write direction, store the camera.Next day, go to another place, keep the camera ready to use with a sling, cover keeps on falling. Taking pictures. Fixing the camera to my tripod, the polarizer fell down again!
