I replaced the original speakers in my RV with these. They sound good.

Honestly I've had these in my car about 2 years now. Always sounded super low and toned down. I recently just got an amp and realized these things really got a kick to them! So if you have these and they sound low, it may be your power vs the speaker itself.

I got a pair of these speakers to replace the OEM rear deck speakers on my Honda. I have to wonder how the OEM speakers even get any bass as their magnets are tiny compared to these. Now the rear speakers can kick out some bass from the OEM radio head even without the big subwoofer. With the three way speaker design, these even produce the mid range and high for the back seat listeners. I also add a 10" subwoofer in the trunk driven by a power amp, now the entire system sounds even better than some Bose system in the Acura or Nissan/Infinity. This set of speakers is well worth the upgrade from the tinny OEM speakers to a full range speakers for all frequencies to match the front set.

I bought these to replace a pair of stock 6x9 subs in my backseat deck. My door speakers just weren't enough as the sound dropped off pretty bad and I needed more midrange since I have an aftermarket sub. I went for these speakers over others because I did a lot of research and looking around, and they seemed like a decent choice since I was on a bit of a budget. I had them suggested to me by a professional and he had them instore for about $75 so of course I ordered off here to save. When I first opened up the box I was disappointed in the size of the magnet, but I've had them installed in my car for about a month now and they are doing the trick to add extra sound and range in my car. I have them hooked up to their own dual channel 400 watt amp and they seem fairly powerful. I'm a huge music junkie so I'm quite picky when it comes to sound and these sound quite good paired with my sub. I listen to mainly punk/heavy rock so my only complaint is that these speakers have a fair bit of treble/highs, but that might be just me since I don't prefer much treble. Although they sound quite good with pop type music! My dad is also a huge music junkie and he approves!

Worked great to replace blown stock speakers on my 2012 Corolla.I noticed that I have to raise the volume higher for good balanced sound (didn't replace the stock head unit), but the audio sounds truly much better than it ever was.The difference in quality was obvious, stock speakers looked like paper and weighed easily one fifth of what these Kenwoods weighed. Would strongly recommend as a budget no-new amplifier replacement.

I took a chance on these that I could make them fit into the back of a friend's 1991 eldorado. GM likes to do things quick, and they had this big spring clamp mount that the speaker sat in and was hooked and clamped into the rear deck. Well, these are just the right height for the bracket, but I had to bend a tab that interfered with the terminals and magnet. No big deal. His originals were bose, and each had its own amp. We did away with the amps and put a single stereo amp in the trunk for these. It works great! The sound is good, and would likely be better if we replaced the factory radio, but he doesn't want to change the appearance inside. We shall see how they hold up in the 110 to 120 degree summer here in the desert.

Exceed expectations for a speaker in this price range, you can spend a lot more and get a lot less.Used to replace OEM speaker in 03' civic Coupe, fitment was perfect (replacement a challenge though). These are well made with all components being weather resistant,( no coated paper) attention to detail in that wiring at stress points on cone are well coated using flexible adhesive to prevent lifting. These are flush mount but they have a substantial mounting plate to prevent warping during install . Sound is well balanced, no harsh "high end" as an issue with some 3 way speakers. The power handling is adequate for my Sony head unit, no distortion right up to the where the head unit starts clipping...

These speakers sound great and have better sensitivity and bass than the Alpine SPS 610C component 2-way speakers I mounted in the front door. Because of the high sensitivity dB, I have to fade the back speakers by -8 on a scale of 15, cutting the sound signal in half on these to balance the lower volume of my Alpines up front.I have a 400w Kenwood KAC-M1804 Amp with a Kenwood DPX300U stereo, and running at a loud volume of 25 on a scale of 35 they never distort any sound. Even then the bass sounds like it is stronger in the rear than front. Tweeters rival the 1.5" component silk tweeters in my Alpines in the upper front doors. I like them slightly better than the Alpines up front costing 3x as much. The hard-surface, stiff larger cone on these speakers with cloth surrounds also looks very durable for a hot and sunny rear deck location. With the savings, I used 24 sq ft of GTMat to quiet metal resonance. I consider these an excellent bargain for a very good 6x9" speaker.

I ordered these based on reviews to replace some 20 year old Sony 6x9's that had deteriorated in my Jeer Wrangler and should handle the weather much better than the paper 6x9's that I originally had. These are comparable to the Sony 6x9's I replaced and they sound great driven off of my Pioneer head unit. For a Sub $30 speaker pair they perform great in a stock radio setup but should not be considered as high performance. If you buy these for their intended purpose you will be happy and impressed!

I wish I would have changed out the stock 6x9's in my 06' Honda Accord years ago. You almost have to laugh when you remove the stock speakers and see just how cheaply they're made. I'm still using the stock head unit and these sound 100% better. I mean they're $35 so don't expect earth shattering bass and glorious highs, but you're unquestionably getting your money's worth out of them. Without a high output head unit or a dedicated amp, other more expensive speakers would just be a waste as they wouldn't be given enough power. I would unquestionably order these again.

When you read a product description that states - "Kenwood KFC-6965S 6 x 9 Inches 3-Way 400W Speakers, Set of 3" - what would you expect? 3 speakers, right? Well I ordered these and only got 2. Mind you, I'm fully aware that a 'set' of speakers usually consists of 2, but when it says "SET OF 3", I kind of expected three. Either way, Amazon is working with me on that one.(Later Edit): Amazon resolved the issue expediently and to my satisfaction. :-)On with the review...These speakers put out decent sound at LOW to MID volume, nothing impressive. Speakers tend to distort at higher levels. (I had them hooked up to a 200w receiver, gain at almost zero, volume barely a 1/4) The magnets are way too small for 4ohm 400w speakers - so don't expect much out of them. I suppose they would be okay for OEM replacements. The speakers LOOK nice at least... Either way, I had hoped for more from a name like Kenwood.I don't think I'd recommend these speakers.
