I ordered this set of hardware to repair worn and broken bolt snap hooks on several dog items, including leashes, tie-outs, and harnesses. I realized after I opened the package that my life would have been much easier if I'd chosen the hooks with two snap hooks on each one, because I'll have to sew webbing straps directly to the closed rings on these, but they are very sturdy and seem strong. The closed ring end swivels nicely, and the snap hooks open and close easily (for humans, but hopefully not for dogs!). I'm sure these handy items could be used in many other applications, but I was very happy to find them, since my dogs are big, strong, and wear out a surprising amount of hardware.

These bolt snaps at first glance seem about the same as the ones I normally use for scuba-diving. The snap and swivel work well. The thickness of the metal is typical. Magnets only weakly attract, which suggests it's actually stainless. If they rust later, I'll update this review, but they seem fine for now.
