HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE
HDPE is a highly crystalline, non-polar thermoplastic resin.
The crystallinity is 80%~90%, the softening point is 125~135 ℃, and the operating temperature can reach 100 ℃;
The hardness, tensile strength, and creep resistance are better than those of low-density polyethylene;
Good wear resistance, electrical insulation, toughness, and cold resistance;
Good chemical stability, insoluble in any organic solvent at room temperature, corrosion resistance;
The film has low permeability to water vapor and air, and low water absorption;
The aging resistance is poor, and the environmental stress cracking resistance is not as good as that of low-density polyethylene, especially due to thermal oxidation. Therefore, antioxidants and ultraviolet absorbers need to be added to the resin to improve this deficiency.
High density polyethylene film has a lower thermal deformation temperature under stress, and attention should be paid when applying it.

MAIN FUNCTIONS
High density polyethylene resin can be used to form plastic products through injection, extrusion, blow molding, and rotational molding methods.
Various types of containers can be formed.
Various hollow containers, ultra-thin films, etc. can be formed by blow molding.
Extrusion molding can be used to form pipes, stretching strips, bundling strips, monofilament, wire and cable sheaths, etc.
In addition, it can also form decorative panels, louvers, synthetic wood, synthetic paper, synthetic films, and molded calcium plastic products for construction purposes

I purchased this in order to make a non-mowing surface for a vice that I use on Wood products. The block came exactly as subscribed. Measurements were exact. There were no defects in the block. I was able to easily cut the block down to fit my Weiss. I have attached pictures to better. Illustrate what I am describing. Is solid enough that it doesn’t easily crush, it is also soft enough that it doesn’t scratch or dent the wood I am working with.I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a polypropylene block within these measurements for any projects.

I used this to create a mounting block for the transducer on my 18ft aluminum v-hull boat I was building from the bottom up. Both form and function are great. I only had to make holes once through the hull to mount the block. The shape made it easier to seal the through hull fittings. Now I can replace the transducer anytime I want without having to make new holes in my boat or even open already sealed holes. Couldn't be happier.

I think this is a very high quality material, and I’m very happy how it turned out. However, I found that on the 3/4 inch piece I received it was about 1/16 inch thicker than 3/4. It was ok for me because I have a thickness planer that did a great job cutting it down to spec. The jury is out on the internet whether you should even attempt to plane HDPE so do so at your own risk. If what you’re using it for doesn’t require tight tolerances, you should be fine. I really like the material.

I have an automotive 4 posts lift. There are some plastic pieces that prevent metal to metal rubbing. Originally, the lift came with some plastic pieces. They wore off after so many times using it and lack of lubrication. I've tried to fix the lift and thought about getting plastic and machine it to fit. I checked Amazon and here we are. This works very well! I'd say better than the original and for cheaper price.The Polyethylene quality is amazing. Homogeneous without any issues. It has been a while now. They are aging very nice and doing the job very well.

This was exactly what I was looking for, and was way less expensive than that of other options. It's simple to to cut, and easy to work with. It is made of strong acrylic, yet easy to polish.

This was the most amazing block of plastic I have ever seen or heard of. Or even known of. Its a great block of plastic that is the same size as advertised. I cannot stress how awesome it is. Truly one of the best purchases a man or woman could buy for themselves or as a gift for others.

I got a 1000 liter water tote tank for my gardening needs this year & I wanted to have some level measurement to my control system. Using 4 magnetic float operated reed switches I built a 'tree' from 316 SS tubing & fittings, however the tube fittings' threads are 1/8" MNPT while the switches are male 3/8"-16 machine threads. I cut up this HDPE into smaller blocks & drilled & tapped them as the interface between the switches & SS fittings. They had to be non-ferrous so as not to influence the magnetic floats. I even formed a piece on the bottom as a stand-off so the switches are always at the same distance from the tank's floor. This was a perfect material choice that won't corrode sitting in water during the grow season. I used teflon paste to seal the threads & had no leaks or shorts. The switches all terminate in the head at the top of the 'tree'. This stuff is firm & is very easy to cut with a hacksaw & files well.

The HDPE arrived exceptionally fast and was packed well.Cuts beautifully and is the perfect density for most applications where HDPE is utilized.The price of this is really good, making this a terrific bargain and it it machines extremely well.Yes, I would recommend this for most standard use applications.
