Dilution Tips
You can add a drop Olive and vegetable oils to thin the cake paint when you needed.Diluting with oil will not affect the taste of the food itself.
How to paint with edible paint before you start?
1.Shake the bottle well to ensure that the solid and liquid ingredients mix together to form an even consistency for color.
Note:If your paint is transparent, the ingredients haven’t mixed together.
2. Play with your paints, become familiar with them. Each color has different pigmentation, so get a feel for each color.
3.Don't put too much paint on your brush - it's easier to apply more than less. If you need another coat (depending on the color you want), wait for the first coat to dry before applying the second.
Note: Thicker pigments take longer to dry.
4.The different foods drying times are different:
1)The conditions like temperature and higher humidity can affect the drying process tremendously,a fan can be used to speed the drying process.
2) When using these paints on Buttercream, allow time for drying before placing the cake back in the fridge.

Not impressed. Took many coats and still didn't have the desired outcome.Disappointed with quality. The jar was 3/4 full and product was semi-expensive.

Worked perfect. I would rate the coloring high, did not notice any taste. The consistency is just like paint, not thick but not runny. Easy enough to use. I painted it on both my sugar cookies, and inside of my piping bags to add to frosting. The color was a high quality gold metallic shine. The one thing I didn't like was that after sitting it seemed to separate a bit maybe it is supposed to do that, I just shook it up to even the coloring.

I was not sure what to think when I ordered this, however, this really does look like gold dust. And the package says it is truly edible.

This Purple Edible Art Decorative Paint is nice - it is not as metallic or pigmented as I thought, it does not dry very quickly, but it has a nice effect. It is handy having it premixed as paint even though you need to keep it mixed while using it.
