After removing the 3 screws holding on the top of the dynatrap, there is 1 more screw holding on the clear retainer for the bulbs. I take that off, remove old bulbs with a quarter turn, pop in the new ones, and it's glowing like it was new again! Just what I needed to take care of these pesky mosquitos. Last ones lasted 2 years, I would buy these again when the time comes, and I bought 2 sets so I have them ready if needed!

I have 2 of the large DynaTraps. One is 3 years old and the other is 2 years old. I bought these replacement bulbs and was stunned to find they have different end pieces than the bulbs in my devices. These do not work at all...not made to fit the devices. I am very disappointed in the company. Searching Amazon, I did find a bulb that has the necessary end design to fit my devices, but besides the $39 price, they were charging $19+ for shipping. Not paying that! My devices are worthless now, and I consider the company to be worthless also.

THE DOT TRAP HAS BEEN ONE OF THE BEST THINGS THAT I HAVE EVER BOUGHT. I GET BIT UP LIKE NO TOMORROW AND I HAVE NO MOSQUITOES IN MY BACKYARD. THIS WORKS GREAT. I'VE BEEN USING MINE FOR THREE YEARS NOW THE LIGHTBULBS LAST FOR A WHOLE SEASON AND I WOULD DEFINITELY ONLY BUY THE DINA TRAP LIGHTBULBS. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THOSE AND THE GENERIC ONES.

I had one of these given to me by a member of my family because they thought it had stopped working. The bulbs were burned out that's all that was wrong with it, replace these bulbs and it works great. The bulbs really do work to attract insects

We love our dynatrap xl, it does an amazing job keeping the bugs at bay. When the bulbs burnt out this season I knew I needed new ones asap. These work great and were super easy to install

We had to replace our bulbs and got the knock-off because they were MUCH cheaper! But the metal ends are not secured properly, and they would not turn on the machine. My husband fiddled with this for a couple of days, just about ready to get a new machine. I said it might be the bulbs. Ordered the official bulbs and within 3-5 minutes it was working. Shame they are so expensive, but they work!

The newer DynaTrap one acre device that uses these size bulbs now has thumbscrews to make it easier to remove the bulb holders on the two (2) bulbs that need to be replaced. Replacing the bulbs (the manufacturer recommends replacement every four (4) months of constant use), appears to increase the DynaTrap's bug catching power. [This is a subjective call because the old bulbs were still working fine and appeared to be plenty bright, but in the Summer battle against biting insects we're willing to invest in new bulbs if there's a claim the machine will work better.]There are several videos on YouTube that show how to replace the bulbs in the large DynaTrap like this model, but those videos all show the units having Phillips head screws holding the bulb-holders and they are hard to access using a regular length screwdriver - those doing the work in the videos need a "stubby" screwdriver of short length. Apparently the DynaTrap designers realized they had to make bulb replacement easier and more accessible so they changed the design, at least on this model The bulbs go right in place without difficulty and it goes back together just as easily. If you want to change out the infrared bulbs it is surprisingly quick and easy to do!
