This is a passive dryer. It has a heating element that draws in air and warms it. The warmed air then rises into the boots or gloves, drying them faster than would ambient air alone. You can manipulate how it sets on the risers to get to hard to reach areas. It would be great if it had a fan but at this price you are getting a drying rack with a somewhat useful heat element. I find that my gloves and boots are dry over night just about every time so overall it is fairly good value. On the positive side, its totally quiet if that is something you are looking for. Materials are pretty cheap plastic but it doesnt interfere with function at all.

This keeps my husbands work boots dry and fresh! He sticks his boots on this as soon as he gets home from work lets it run for a couple hours.

UPDATE February 28, 2025---I have been in contact with the company as they were concerned about my dissatisfaction. Communication was awesome about this transaction. I was told that there is a fan and that I possibly have a defective unit. They were willing to ship me a new one at no cost, I stated that I did not want a new one as I have bought another unit, that was going to have a fan. Without my asking, I have been given a full refund and I respect that. Despite some statistics that I was given, my evaluation of the product still stands--it does not have a fan and other reviews state that too. As a passive heater, it cannot dry soaked gloves or even mildly wet gloves. With this model, the heat cannot reach the fingertips of any glove. Regardless, I hold total respect for this company as they were trying to work with me. It just ends up being that this particular is not suited for my applications. I am changing my rating to a 5 star---as they were open and honest with me and communicated very well with me about this situation. We are just begging to differ on the fact that this model cannot dry gloves.For the most part, this item is as described. Except---it states it can dry gloves. In a few short words, yes it can. HOWEVER---it does take forever, the fingers of my glove, never were dried out. This until does NOT have a fan to force heat, it just slowly radiates heat. With a thick glove, the heat can never reach the fingers. I wear thick waterproof gloves and deal with water in these icy temps. As my hand goes in and out of the glove, some moisture is acrued. I tested out the device and gave it over 12 hours to dry the gloves. out, never happened. I am going to keep it, rather than the hassle of a return, but I have already purchased a forced fan glove dryer.

This is a great product And if you're a patient your boots or shoes will dry but it could take hours depending on how wet they are last night I decided to wash my husband's work boots I let them drip dry for a little bit before putting them on the boot dryer And they are still currently drying we gave the boot dryer a few hours break And then started it back up it's been maybe 8ish hours And these were fully soaked boots And they're just slightly damp now so hopefully another hour or so and they'll be completely dryBut great for if you step in puddles I need to dry your shoes you just won't get them dried quickly

Everything about it is easy. Easy set up and use. The size is perfect for right next to the shoe rack. Holds the kids shoes to the man's work boots. Dries them quickly and there's nothing better than warm dry boots on a cold wet morning according to my other half.

Quite. No fans. Dries boots overnight. Boots fit on well. It’s nice that it has a locking mechanism that allows the boots to slide off without taking the dryer with them.
