About this item

  • Extra Wide: This baby gate is 30" tall and fits openings between 29.6-46" wide. With two 2.5" and one 8.2" extensions, you have the flexibility to install it, whether it's on the stairs, doorways or kitchens
  • 40 Safety Tests: Passed the test of INTERTEK. Our baby gates are made of steel and other durable metals, which can withstand the impact of 500-1000N, which is equivalent to 8 children pushing the door hard
  • Automatic Closing: Never worry about leaving the gate open by accident. Mumeasy indoor dog gate automatically closes when opened less than 90°. Plus, it swings open in both directions for added convenience
  • One-handed Unlocking: Allows you to easily unlock the gate when you are busy. With an ergonomic double lock design, Only need one hand to open the Walking through gate whether you are holding a child or items
  • Easy to Install: Supports pressure-mounted or drill-mounted. Set up with pressure mounting takes less than 10 minutes and requires no tool. Drill mounting requires a punching tool to provide extra stability
  • Mom's Choice Award Winner: Trusted by parents. Not only do they meet the high standards of design and functionality, they are also recognized by the MCA as a product safe and reliable for kids and pets

  • Yes. But we suggest that stairway installation must be hardware mounted.

  • It could be due to the lack of a 2mm gap between the latch and the door frame that should have been left during the installation process. This gap is necessary for the proper functioning of the door bar.

  • There are two installation methods, one is pressure installation without drilling, and the other is drilling installation (requiring a 5mm drill bit). Although drilling installation is troublesome, it has better weighing capacity.

I love that it comes with a little 'ramp' in the middle and that it is pressure-hung. I have really nice old woodwork in my house so I appreciate that we didn't have to drill a hole into it. I like the fact that the door swings two directions and in one direction will close automatically, but in the other direction, it will stay open until it gets pushed to close.I also appreciate that you have to coordinate sliding the switch at the top and also squeezing the trigger to get it to open, which will help keep little hands and paws from figuring out how to open it. Keeps our dog out of the kitchen garbage!

...to take you down a notch.I went about unpacking and installing this in a typical male fashion:1. Rip and cut everything out of the package using that really cool pocket knife you have.2. Skip to Page 3 of the instructions, skim install pics.3. Proceed to assemble per the pics, but then realize this thing is way out of square. The latch doesn't even come close to the hook/catch.4. Mumble something derogatory about the quality of products these days and go out to the garage to get your framing square to confirm just how out-of-square it is.5. Take pictures (for later proof in court, I guess) of how out-of-square it is. Complain to your spouse. Mumble something about how they must have no QC at the factory.6. Go online to Amazon. Request a return/replacement.7. Start reading the product reviews. One of them says something about how you are not supposed to cut that big zip tie holding the latch next to the frame. Which zip tie was that???8. Read more reviews, go back and see that big cardboard piece with a WARNING laying on the floor that told you not to cut the big zip tie (that you cut) before installing.9. Read the 1st page of the instructions, where it says DON'T CUT THE BIG ZIP TIE before installing in big, clear, easy to read print.10. Replace the big zip tie you cut with the big replacement zip tie they shipped because, hey, they know what kind of guy you are.11. Install the gate and behold that the latch lines up perfectly after the gate is compressed into place.12. Try in vain to cancel your return on Amazon. Resign yourself to potentially just having 2 of these gates by next week. It's OK, they work really well and at this point you deserve whatever you get.13. Avoid eye contact with your spouse while desperately trying to rebuild your male ego over the course of the next week.Seriously, it's a good gate and installation is simple if you read the warnings and follow the instructions. If you are like me though, you may need a therapy session or two afterwards.
