perfect for my newly remodeled hall project. we dont have kids, but got this for keeping the dogs out of the hall and certain other areas. you dont really need the instructions as (to me) they go onto too much detail for a simple installation. i took out the one tab, so that we dont have to lift the gate when its unlatched. works fantastic and still secure.

We love this gate! It is totally worth the price if you have a wide area to cover with a gate. Easy to install and very sturdy. I would highly recommend. We never have trouble opening and you can make it stay open if needed. Would buy again!

I really appreciate the no-bottom-bar design, adjustable width, and the stay-open and auto-close features, all of which make it convenient and easy to use. However, ergonomically, the handle could be improved. The bottom part of the handle is a bit uncomfortable, as lifting the gate to open it requires some pressure. A rounded design instead of a square edge would make it much more comfortable to grip.Additionally, the wall-mounted latches would benefit from oval-shaped mounting holes for finer adjustments. My initial placement was just slightly too high, forcing me to drill another set of holes only 2mm lower—something that could have been avoided with a more adjustable design.Overall, it's a great gate with strong functionality, but a couple of small design tweaks would make it even better.

We’ve purchased five of these No Bottom Bar Gates over the past couple of years, and they’ve proven to be an excellent choice for both keeping our dogs confined and ensuring our kids are safe from stairs. The first gate we installed was a challenge due to unclear instructions, requiring trial and error to get it right. However, the manufacturer has since updated the instructions, and the version from our most recent purchase is much clearer. That said, having prior experience with installation likely contributed to the ease this time around, so new users might still find it slightly challenging. This gate shines in areas where pressure-mounted gates fall short. The absence of a bottom bar is a game-changer. It eliminates tripping hazards (particularly important for grandparents, and for stairs) avoids damage to wood floors, and allows our Roomba to pass underneath for uninterrupted cleaning. We installed the gate slightly higher than recommended for this exact reason, which has worked perfectly for our household; Roomba works even with the gate closed! The gate’s full-width opening is another major plus. It provides ample space for anyone to pass through comfortably, and the dual-direction opening is a thoughtful touch. The auto-close feature works reliably, and the stay-open option is convenient when we need the gate temporarily out of the way.Construction feels solid and secure; our kid hangs from it constantly and it hasn't bent/warped. The double-lock mechanism adds an extra layer of safety, though it does take a bit of getting used to. I find the one-handed operation easy, but it’s slightly less intuitive for my wife and visitors unfamiliar with it.Overall, we’re very happy with this gate. Its combination of safety, convenience, and sleek design makes it well worth the investment. Whether you’re looking to keep kids safe or pets contained, this gate is an excellent choice. We highly recommend it to anyone in need of a high-quality, hassle-free safety gate.

This is an excellent baby gate that opens both directions. It also screws into the wall/wood so it's been sturdy enough for the top of the stairs. We keep a close eye on our toddler as to not take any chances but it has held up and kept him safe during the brief moments he has tried to climb or open it.

After our big 'ol Boxer-mix took a tumble down the carpeted stairs, we knew we had to prevent him from free access to the stairs when we are not watching him (he has some arthritis in his legs that doesn't help him with stairs). The first gates we bought were white plastic (garbage). He pushed through the first white plastic gate in a record 3 minutes!! We were able to return those useless gates to Amazon for a full refund. Then, I spotted this gate. Love the useful video that you can watch before making the decision to purchase it. We bought 3. The metal is strong and also attractive. Our house is 125 years old (so, doubt there is a straight line / wall to be had) - and my son was able to get all 3 installed securely. On 2 of them, we had to forego the bottom latch - but no problem - since the top latch is solid and really clinches the trick. So easy to open and close. One is installed outside on the back deck above the stairs. Not sure how it will do outside in our Canadian winters. However, I am sure it will be fine with a little WD40, etc - if any of the outdoor element issues arise. Our pup is 100 lbs of pure love!! These gates stop our boy - plus look great (smart at the same time).

I bought 2 of these gates and we are satisfied with the strength and function. The instructions could be a bit more clear and I see why some reviews point that out, but Im reviewing the gates and not the instructions. I was able to install the 2nd gate faster as a result of learning from the 1st. The weakness very well could be the locking mechanism but once everyone using them learns how to properly operate them this could help. I really like the way it stays open when you want it open and it has a self closing feature that works well if you are able to install gate plumb and level. I've dealt with a lot of baby gates through the years and some are a pain to operate especially when you're not familiar with that particular gate. I am a proponent of teaching our babies to stay off the gate as a no-no and if using a lot of baby force it could fail. But as far as design, build quality, along with ease of use the Babeloi products are great

I wouldn’t recommend this gate as it isn’t user friendly. For every advantage there is a disadvantage. If you secure the gate accordingly, once you press the button handle to open the gate it doesn’t open because there’s three latches and two of the three latches don’t release making it impossible to open. Alternatively, there are three clips in the middle of the gate to adjust the width you require for the area. These clips can be loosened so you can finally open the gate, but it is no longer secure as it should be.I believe this product should be revised where once you press on the button handle to open the gate, all 3 latches should unlatch to open the gate. The installation went excellent until I learned there was no easy way around the operation of the gate. I’m just disappointed that I placed holes in my wall to learn the gate wasn’t designed very well and I wouldn’t have known until the end. I also read another review that stated the same issues.I will be returning the gate.

I selected this product because it doesn’t have the bottom bar which is a tripping hazard. It seems well made and the white color blends nicely with my stairway railings, which are painted white. It does take some time to install. If either wall or railing isn’t level, the gate won’t close properly without making several adjustments. I’ve seen several customer complaints about gate not locking securely, likely because of this issue. There are small spacers that are included that help with that problem. I’ve now installed three of these at the top of my stairs.

Pretty sturdy gate so far and looks nice installed. I love how there is no bar at the bottom which reduces the tripping hazard. Instructions were pretty straightforward. My only gripe is the wall anchors that came with this gate is such bad quality, we couldn’t even hammer it into the wall without it warping the plastic. We decided to install it with no anchors and it was stable enough. I would advise you to get your own wall anchors if you purchase this gate. The manufacturer needs to do something about the quality of the wall anchors.

I’m using this gate for 7 dogs. It was easy to install, didn’t use instructions. I didn’t use the bottom locking bracket. It wasn’t needed but also cause having to lift the gate to unlock would put excess strain on the hinges and it was not very easy to do. The gate is sturdy, easily adjustable for length and simple to install. It swings open easily both ways, with just a push of a button. As advertised it does swing back and lock if opened less than full and it does pressure lock when fully opened. Big upgrade on our pressure fit old gate that gouged the walls with excessive use. Not to mention having a couple family members trip over the old one cause moving it was a pain. One thing to mention is the hinges and locking mechanism are solid plastic. I’d prefer metal of course but full metal would be 3 times the price likely. I used a piece of tape to hold the lift locking mechanism in. Sturdy enough to hold 7 big dogs back and super easy to open, perfectðŸ‘ðŸ»
