The YARD SENTINEL PREDATOR EYE by Aspectek is a small outdoor solar repel device, suitable to protect your property (including livestock) from unwanted night-time pests such as coyotes, raccoons, skunks, foxes, wolves, deer, cougars and cats. The flashing light will be seen as anweyewto the pest. Predators that hunt at night share a fear of being watched or discovered and will flee or avoid the area. This product is waterproof to guaranty long life usage.

CLUSTER MOUNT
Secure four lights on each side of a post. A 2x 2-in (5x5-cm) or 1x 2-in (2.5x5-cm) stake would work well. You will want to drive the stake about 12-inches (30.5 cm) into the ground. Ensure that your stake is long enough to mount the lights at eye level to the animal.
PERIMETER MOUNT
Secure lights on all sides of the area you want to protect
To mount the devices to a wooden post or stake, use finishing nails, wood screws or Velcro strips. To mount it to a wire mesh pen or fence, use plastic zip ties or a light-weight stovepipe, galvanized wire to attach the light. Make sure the light lies flat against the fence and is not pointing up or down.The animal can be stopped from 500 yards (457 metres) or more away.To prevent the animal from entering the property, the Predator Eye doesn't operate by motion sensor. It flashes continuously from dawn to dusk. The Predator Eye can also be placed on a vehicle dashboard or on the side of the house to warn trespassers away
CHARGING
The battery can be recharged by the sun. Pull out the transparent insulating plastic at the bottom of machine and mount. Install in a place that receives direct sunlight during the day. The unit will be ready to flash the first night it is installed. The light will blink from dusk to dawn.
PRECAUTIONS
YARD SENTINEL PREDATOR EYE is completely waterproof and does not need to be stored during the winter or off-season. In fact, it is not recommended to store the Predator Eye because of battery drain, and the device may not be able to start up again. Battery will not charge in cloudy weather Device will be functional after being fully charged by the sun for a few hours. Please keep the surface of solar battery clean. Dust affects battery recharge. Do not drop the device.

It will take a while to decide whether this is effective. The impression the light gave was not as expected from the ad. Rather than looking like a predator's eye, it looks more like a flashing light warning of road construction. Will that deter pests? It's hard to say. Perhaps if they're driving.

The predator eyes are a great product and seem to last forever! I have a field in my backyard and coyotes are often out there. I put these on my chain link fence to help deter the coyotes from getting too close to my yard, especially at night. I want to do whatever is possible to protect my 3 cats and 2 dogs. I think this might be a little hard to prove how much this really works, but since I've used these (over 12 years now) I have not lost any cats. Maybe I have smarter cats? I think it might be a little of both!

These items work fine, however they do not deter large animals. Our bear, who comes here severalnights a week, laughs at this light. It does nothing to deter his visit.

I've had these 2 straight growing seasons to try and protect tomato plants from deer. I have plenty of deer and not a single plant or tomato damaged by wildlife. I can't say these lights get the credit but I can't say they didn't. I do know they have worked consistently for more than two years.

Do these deter predators? I don’t really know. But they’re cheap, easy to slap up and do what they say they will: collect sunlight during the day and blink a bright red LED at night. The front sticker quickly fades and flakes off in the weather but that doesn’t affect functionality. I’ve got them on my coop doors so I can tell at a glance from the house that they’re closed up at night, and hopefully if the doors are ever left open the blinking will keep foxes from entering.
