I bought this kit, installed it but after a few days the engine light came on, the scanner told me it was a bad position of the cranshaft, and my problems were solved until I bought the original timing belt. All the other accessories have worked perfectly for me. If you are thinking of buying this package, consider buying the OEM timing belt. I also add that the marks on it had been erased and when measuring it with the OEM one, it is longer or maybe it was stretched too much and it went over 2 or 3 teeth on the shaft.

This is my 3rd or 4th Aisin TB/WP kit and they have always been perfect, whether Honda/Toyota/I4/V6. OEM quality belt, bearings, pump, adjuster. Never had a failure from one of these units. The backplate for the upper TB cover and camshaft wheels OVERLAPS the Water pump edge preventing otherwise easy removal- deliberate effort to force the work to a shop. BUT--There is a way to remove the WP without pulling the cam wheels and backplate - loosen the backplate bolts before removing the TB - the cam wheel spokes will have to be aligned over the upper backplate bolts to loosen (not remove). I just loosened the lower bolts and got it to work (with struggle), but I had already removed the belt and couldn't turn the cam wheels off alignment. You will also have to remove the 2 long studs with a stud remover tool. The torx bit on the end of the stud will likely snap due to the force required. Turn them slowly with the stud tool up against the block-will have to maneuver around the surrounding obstacles. RISK!-the stud might snap off in the block- unlikely but that's why you need to be careful, turn slowly/evenly/measuredly. Some will prefer to remove the cam wheels to replace the oil seals. The Camshaft Wheel bolts are like 90 ft-lbs plus the breakfree torque required. DIYers know what I am talking about. My 200 Highlander with ~250K seamed to run better, though it could be in my mind.Caveat EmptorGood Luck!!

First off let me say I am no rookie. I installed this after having been employed over 20 years in the automotive repair industry. I worked in the industrial machine repair industry for over 25 years after leaving the automotive repair industry. You would be correct in saying I am an old man. I always do the repairs on my personal vehicles. Right after installing this kit I was getting a bad belt squeal that would last several seconds. At first I assumed that it was coming from either the alternator or power steering belts. Unfortunately it was not. While my wife was driving and stopped at a stop light, the engine died. I knew right away when she tried to start the engine again, that we weren't going any where without a tow. Even more unfortunately, we were 225 miles from home! A tow home using our AAA was going to be an additional $1300 tow bill! My 94 year old mother's house was close enough to tow without an additional tow bill. So, I worked on replacing this newly installed timing belt at my mother's house. I ordered the tools I needed and went to work. I ordered a different timing belt kit on Amazon packaged and sold by APSG. These belts and seals were all Toyota in the original individually sealed packaging. The bearings were Koyo in the original individually seals boxes. The water pump was an Aisin in the original box. The tensioner was an NTN in the factory sealed box. Fortunately, because the engine was idling when the belt came apart, there was no valve damage. From what I have been reading, the variable valve timing might cause valve contact at different engine loads. (Thank you LORD!) The price difference for between the faulty bearing kit and the kit from APSG is $107.20 as of today. This includes accessory belts and seals that are not included with AISIN TKT-026 kit. I will only buy from the Amazon seller that is listed as APSG from now on. Anything else is not worth the gamble.

Complete kit. All components manufactured in Japan. Very high quality components. Kit includes installation instructions, however, they are vague and confusing. Clarity and better illustrations would reduce frustration. Belt is marked 3 places: Bank 1, Bank 2, Crankshaft. Timing belt does not come with direction of rotation markings. Mark old timing belt identical to new belt. Indicate direction of rotation of belt. Match up old to new belt. Mark new belt with direction of rotation at crank. Line up marks. You saved yourself some genuine frustration by marking belts. You will likely need 2 special tools: Camshaft rotator and Harmonic Balancer bolt stabilizer/holder tool. Both available on AMAZON. Radiator may not drain completely when radiator drain valve is removed. Consider removing thermostat housing, or upper radiator hose and attach wet/dry shop vacuum. If cooling system not drained completely, this task can get messy due to massive coolant spill. Time estimate, backyard, working on ground/jackstands, replacing timing belt, idler, tensioner, water pump - about 7-8 hours.

This timing belt kit from Aisin worked beautifully in my 2006 Toyota Sienna when it needed a timing belt replacement for my minivan. Installed it by myself and it took me about 6 hours; but it was worth it as this product exceeded my expectations. The quality was superb, parts were made in Japan and it met Toyota OEM specifications. I can tell these parts were delicately manufactured and it is well worth the price considering how much this job would cost at a Toyota dealership. Will definitely order this again if I need any future repairs.

I purchased this kit for my 2004 Lexus RX330. The Lexus dealership service department was quoting me $450 for the same OEM parts so this was definitely more reasonably priced.I took it to my Lexus dealer for install and they noted that the kit appeared high quality and installation process was the same as OEM.My own inspection of the belt and metal components suggests everything seems solid and durable.I have no major concerns and expect this kit will perform as designed. Very satisfied.
