I bought this kit for my Honda Civic 98LX , I must say I’m impressed with the quality of these parts. They are Mitsuboto timing belt and Japanese origin water pump. The tensor is high quality and the spring is genuine Honda. Don’t skimp out on the extra cash for a quality item like this. Specially for a timing belt and Pump. I’ve heard these are the same belt guys that provide Honda with parts. I could be wrong , do your own research. After 170k miles is time for the Old Honda to get a much deserved upgrade. I’m looking forward to writing another review after installation. I am a seasoned Honda enthusiast mechanic . I know quality when I see it. ðŸ‘

THese parts installed flawlessly, fitment and quality seem perfect, Time will tell how they last but I don't see any incication that the parts should fail after my time installing them.

Have a 99 Honda Civic Ex Coupe automatic with a D16Y8 installed this and was very pleased with quality and how fast I got the water pump kit paired with a OEM Honda Head Gasket. Will buy another kit here for my 1996 Honda Civic Ex Sedan Manual. Both Cars are over 140K DONT be cheap when it comes to Water Pump Kits and Head Gasket it will save you a headache and won't hurt your wallet in the long run

Used in my 2000 civic 1.6 liter . Fits perfect . Didn't use water pump as no seepage and selling car .Bought the capri Crankshaft tool too but still couldn't break crankshaft bolt loose . Had to take to shop to bust it loose then snug it up and then I took car home to take it apart . (Watch the videos on line as this was my first one and I figure I saved about 500.00 ! ) .

Installed this kit in my 1997 Honda Civic. Parts seem to be good quality and the car has been running without a hitch. Pretty easy install as there was ample space to get to the timing cover. Just pay attention to your timing marks! I trust Aisin they are the OEM manufacturer for a lot of Japanese cars. OEM quality at aftermarket prices, how can you go wrong?

Installed this kit on the D16Y8 1.6L engine in my Acura EL. Everything fit, it runs fine. The only difficulty was that the water pump did not have the little nubs that some other brands have which help hold the gasket in place while you are fitting it up against the engine. A little spit goes a long way. Hence four stars vice five.

Very happy with this kit. My 1996 Civic has a new belt and water pump at a price FAR below buying locally, and I'm still getting the OEM manufacturer parts that supplied Honda for these parts when new according to my research. If you are not doing this job yourself (like me), make sure your mechanic is OK with you supplying parts - some will, some won't accept that. One mechanic quoted me $1100 plus tax for the complete job, but after buying this kit, my mechanic charged me $400 plus tax to install it - saving me about $550!!!

I bought this kit Aisin Timing belt/water pump kit during a Head change on my son's 2000 Civic EX; D16Y8 motor with 200K plus miles. Note this kit also includes a complete tensioner pulley and spring. We wanted to knock out as much significant preventive maintenance as possible while the head was off. The belt and water pump are holding strong. Note that I also installed a very similar Aisin TB/WP kit in my 92 Civic back in 2005 and it’s still running quite well. I highly recommend this quality Timing belt/water pump kit!
