I was disappointed that the rocks were as large as they were. This was my fault for not paying attention to information given. They were very colorful and nicely polished so I kept them. Have now found a great use for them in my plant humidifier water trays. They are a good size for this use

If you just use these for small terrariums as decorations then you get a lot of stones. If you are going to use them for large potted plants as soil covering, maybe enough for 2 pots. Best way I know how to describe what 5 pounds of these rocks are like. Plain colors, but smooth and semi-shiny. Not fancy.

These rocks are super polished and very pretty. I initially ordered these for my house plants and they look very nice in the pots. However they have had multiple other uses in my house. My mom has used them as a backdrop for her jewelry business photos, and even wrapped the prettiest ones with wire and made a necklace out of it. Very reasonable size and price. Rocks shown in photo is around 1/2 of amount I received

This was a 5 pound (I weighed it) bag of polished river rocks, about quarter size each. Very good quality, accurate weight. They look beautiful on my potted plants - I cover the top soil with them to keep the squirrels from digging in my pots. Some reviews complained that 5 pounds wasn’t very big - keep in mind that a gallon of milk weighs about 8 pounds, so this is smaller. The box was about 8†square, the perfect amount the cover the tops of my 6 medium sized pots. Hope that helps you figure out how many to order.
